At the EKWC we have been experimenting with a series of terracotta elements, both for 2D and 3D purposes. Many of the buildings we are surrounded with are designed from a graphic view point, without texture or the potential for multiple readings. Our goal is to create new facades, with a playfulness of light and shadow that excites the eye and offers varied experiences when viewing the facade. We also are eager to improve exsisting glass- and concrete facades. Not only for decorative use, also for filtering of sunlight and climate improvement inside the building.
The design cannot be grasped immediately. It is a gradualy unfolding collection of patterns that show at different levels of observation.
